Our Beliefs

One of the most important things to us is identifying our personal beliefs and doctrines. We are not ashamed that we a Christians. In fact, we belief Jesus Christ is the only solution to our sin problem, and the only Comfort that can truly heal the broken and hurting. Please read through our beliefs. If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them.

The Bible. We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration (1) of the Bible in the original manuscripts, composed of the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament. Through God’s providence, the Bible has been kept pure (2) and remains the authentic Word of God. The Bible is the inerrant, sufficient, infallible, and authoritative in all manner of faith and practice (3). (1) 2 Tim. 3:16-17.  (2) Prov. 30:5-6.  (3) 2 Pet. 1:16-21.

God. We believe there is only one God in three persons (1) consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2). They are coequal in glory (3). Each person has an individual identity, (4) yet perfectly united as three Persons in One. (1) Deut. 6:4-5.  (2) Matt. 3:16; 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14.  (3) John 10:30; 14:10; 17:5.  (4) John 10:30; 15:26; Eph. 1:3-4, 6-7, 13-14.

Creation and the Fall. We believe God created all things in 6 literal, 24-periods (days). We believe man was originally created as a sinless being (1). By voluntary choice Adam fell from that sinless state (2), and, as a result, all who are born after him are sinners by nature (3). Now all men are under divine judgment (4). (1) Gen. 1:27, 31; 2:16-17; Ecc. 7:29.  (2) Gen. 3:6-7; Rom. 5:12, 19. (3)  Is. 53:6; Rom. 3:9-18, 23; 5:15-19.  (4) John 3:36; Rom. 1:20.

Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God (1) who was incarnated into a physical body while being both truly God and truly man (2). He was conceived by the work of the Holy Spirit, and He was born of a human mother who was a virgin (3). After His birth, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin, and was raised bodily from the tomb (5). He now is in heaven as the great High Priest sitting at the right hand of the Father (6). He will return to rapture His bride (the church) prior to the tribulation period (7). Christ’s Second Coming shall occur and institute the Millennium - the Kingdom of God on Earth (8). (1) Heb. 1:1-2; Ps. 2. (2) Phil. 2:5-8. (3) Is. 7:14; Luke 1:26-38; Phil. 2:7-8. (5) Luke 24:1-6; 1 Pet. 2:21-24; 1 Cor. 15:1-7, 23-26. (6) Heb. 4:14. (7) 1 Thes. 4:16-17,Matt. 24:30-31; 1 Cor. 15:51-52.  (8) Rev. 20:1-7.

Salvation. Salvation is a free gift to all who believe in the shed blood and bodily resurrection of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by faith alone (1). It is a work that was begun by God and is not dependent upon any type of human work (2). All who accept the Gospel receive new spiritual life, are made righteous immediately in the sight of God, and are forgiven of the sin nature received from Adam (3). All believers are eternally saved and can never be lost (4). Every believer bears the responsibility of pursuing personal holiness (5). Holiness requires separation from sin personally and ecclesiastically (6). We reject the teaching of Lordship Salvation as well as "Easy Believism" recognizing that faith without works is dead, but works cannot save (7). (1) Rom. 5:1; 1 Tim. 2:4; John 3:16.  (2) Eph. 2:8-9.  (3) John 3:16; Acts 16:31; 2 Cor. 5:17.  (4) John 10:27-30; Phil. 1:6; Rom. 8:35-39.  (5) 1 Pet. 1:15-16.  (6) 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 1 Tim. 6:3-5; 2 Thes. 3:6. (7) Jam. 2:20; John 3:36.

End Times. We believe in the personal, imminent, pre-tribulation coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His church (Rapture); and in His subsequent return to earth, with His saints, to establish His Millennial Kingdom (pre-millennialism). 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Zech. 14:4-11; Rev. 19:11-16; 20:1-6; 1 Thess. 1:10; 5:9; Rev. 3:10; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor. 15:51-52; John 14:1-3.

Bible Interpretation. We believe the Bible should be interpreted in a dispensational understanding based upon the unfolding of the divine mysteries from God with a historical-grammatical method of interpretation (Heb. 1:1-3; Eph. 1:10).

Fellowship/Association. We believe God calls all Christians to live a life of holiness (1). For this reason, we choose to limit our participation and partnership with Ecumenism, the Charismatic Movement, New Evangelicalism, Post-Modernism, the Social Gospel, or other trends contrary to the doctrines of Scripture (2). (1) 1 Pet. 1:16; 2 Cor. 6:17; Rom. 16:17. (2) 2 Thess. 3:6, 14-15; Titus 3:10; Amos 3:3.
